In Indonesia there are many reasons why mothers have to bring up a family without a husband. Whatever the reason raising a family as a single mum makes it difficult to have a regular job and to have a regular income. There is no social security to fall back on and some fall back on the world's oldest profession. If you are of a generous nature perhaps Oxidrink's offer may appeal to you for it is rather like teaching someone to fish rather than giving them a fish each day.

I am the owner of Oxidrink, an oxygenated fresh water company, and I would act as manager of all the stores in this program. I have estimated that a single mum having an Oxidrink fresh water outlet (store) could give a sufficient and sustainable income for herself and four children as well as secure their future.

To build an Oxidrink store will cost $20.000. I will put in 20% or $4.000 towards each store so it will be owned 20% by Oxidrink and 80% by the mother or the single parent. Repayment of the $16.000 will be spread over a 3-4 year period, so approximately $333 per month. That money will be reinvested in other Oxidrink stores so other single parents can benefit from having their own store and be self-employed. By paying back promptly after deduction of wages and other overheads in accordance with Oxidrink company rules, other single mums will get help and be able to enjoy a self-supporting lifestyle.

My hope is that through this program Oxidrink can help partially to eliminate poverty around Surabaya and give many more children a better start in life because Oxidrink doesn't just sell fresh water, it offers single mums new opportunities and fresh hope.
